While over 70% of men who try therapy find it helpful, a 2026 BACP Public Perceptions Survey reveals that fewer than 3 in 10 men (29%) have ever sought professional help.

If you are a man reading this. In my experience, counselling can help. You can open up and talk, knowing you will not be judged or seen as weak. It’s a chance to talk about things you may never have spoken about before, in a confidential setting. Rather than waiting till you hit breaking point, reach out, which takes strength not weakness. We can work in a more solution focused way. Talking can help you to gain practical tools to cope with anxiety, depression, Work- Stress as well as improve your ability to have more meaningful relationships with those around you.
